ARE WE THE RIGHT MUSIC SCHOOL FOR YOU?

Learning music is not just about music.  It's about you!  And we know you have many options when it comes to choosing the right music studio and teachers for your musical education needs.

While you are researching your options, please CONSIDER THE BENEFITS of participating in the outstanding music programs offered by the Academy of Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

  1. Quality Music Programs for Early Childhood and Beyond

The Academy of Music in Grand Rapids, MI focuses on teaching and providing music lessons and classes for our students beginning with the youngest child. Our sequential programs of study beginning with Music Together® and Music Makers offer an opportunity to enjoy the comforts and convenience of continuing additional instruction in a familiar setting.

We offer internationally recognized and respected curricula for each of our programs. Student materials are chosen based on how each individual best learns music.

  2. Music Together, Music Makers, Piano, Guitar, Voice, Glee Choirs, Trumpet and Flute All in One Convenient Location

The opportunity to attend a kids music class or take lessons on more than one instrument saves our students time and money. Families can schedule more than one lesson or music class on the same day.  Along with our outstanding Music Together program and Music Makers classes, we offer instruction on the most popular instruments - electric and acoustic guitar, voice, and piano.

Our location one mile east of I-96 on 28th St in Grand Rapids, Michigan makes our school convenient to all areas of the greater Grand Rapids community. Near our studio, you will find the lovely Cascade shopping district which includes D & W grocery, banks, a library, and many excellent family dining opportunities.

  3. A Comfortable Waiting Lounge for Parents and Siblings

Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy a spacious, professional waiting room with comfortable chairs, toys for children, Wi-Fi, and reading material. We also provide observation windows on every door so that you have the option of observing your child's lesson. If you prefer, you may sit in on their lesson at any time.

  4. Qualified and Friendly Teaching Staff

Our teachers have warm, friendly personalities and are professionals with college training or extensive performance experience. They are passionate about their work and dedicated to understanding the needs of each child and individualizing instruction. Lesson and class activities are developmentally appropriate, musically engaging and purposeful for all ages and abilities.

  5. Proven Ten-Year Track Record of Excellence

The Academy has a proven ten-year track record of offering quality music instruction. Our full time mission is teaching music. Visit our testimonial page to see what our students and families are saying.

Our students learn to perform with poise and develop excellent stage presence by participating in the many formal and informal performance opportunities we offer throughout the year. Our annual formal spring recital is held each June. In addition, other motivating informal performance opportunities focus on skill development and offer the encouragement of a small group setting.
