MUSIC MAKERS (piano prep)
Music Makers is designed for 4-5 year old children who are ready for a big kids music class. In this peer group setting, students enjoy 45-minutes of active music making that will help lay a strong musical foundation and prepare them for the Academy piano program. Activities will include listening, singing, chanting, moving, creating at the keyboard, and playing short musical pieces. Parents are invited to participate in the last 10 minutes of class. Students may register at any time on a month to month basis.  Thirty lessons offered during the year.  Music Makers studio and materials fee:$25/year.    Tuition:  $23/lesson, charged in equal monthly payments of $77/month

PIANO TRANSITIONS
Piano Transitions is designed for kindergartners who are ready for a commitment to the Academy piano program.  Weekly 60-minute classes include singing, chanting, moving, responding to musical patterns, creating at the keyboard, and playing short pieces.  Activities are developmentally appropriate for Preschoolers and Kindergartners.  Classes help students organize the sounds of music using syllables, imitate musical patterns accurately, sing in tune, move with the beat, and develop beginning piano technique and keyboard skills using rote instruction    Piano Transition studio and materials fee: $50/year.  Tuition $30 for shared 60-minute lessons, charged in equal monthly payments of $109.50/month

PIANO LESSONS
Weekly lessons (minimum 40-minutes of instruction) train musicians who can hear what they play and play what they hear. Lesson activities apply what research says about how children best learn music and encourage students to listen, think, move, sing and PLAY. Students entering first grade and above enroll in piano lessons.  Enrollment includes participation in four Musicianship Classes each year.  Piano studio and materials fee:  $100/year.  Tuition for 40-minute individual or 60-minute shared lesson $30, charged in equal monthly payments of $109.50
MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES
Monthly group lessons/performances during the semester give students an additional opportunity to develop their musicianship and performance skills. Instruction is individualized within a diverse peer group setting.  Activities focus on audiation/notation skills and keyboard performance skills.  Musicianship classes are offered on the third Saturday of the month.  Four classes included in Piano Lessons without additional charge.
